Welcome to the Keiller Leadership Academy (KLA) Science Department!

The KLA Science Department has adopted the new Amplify Science curriculum. Amplify has shown very strong evidence that it improves student's ability to read and think critically as scientists. Also, it will prepare them for the new California Science Test (CAST) that they will be taking in the spring. Amplify is inquiry-based, and follows the integrated model set forth in the Next Generation Science Standards established by the National Science Foundation (NSF). All three grade levels develop and foster the process of inquiry and critical thinking in a manner that engages students in authentic, relevant real-world activities and in-depth discussions.
