Counseling Department - Home
The mission of the KLA Counseling Department is to work cooperatively with students, school staff, parents, and the community to help students make informed decisions about their education and their life, and to help them achieve personal and academic success.
KLA Counseling Department services include:
- Individual, group, and academic counseling
- Second Step social emotional classroom lessons
- Guidance lesson and activities including: College, Health Education, and High School Options
- College and career exploration workshops and field trips
- School wide initiatives such as Red Ribbon Week, Bullying Prevention, Minute Meetings, and Spirit Weeks
- Community referrals and resources (counseling, mentoring and diversion programs, etc)
- Partner with Outdoor Outreach, Boys to Men, and FANCY
- Mentor Mentee student led program
- High School Preview night and application workshops
- Parent conferences
- Parent Series workshops
