Fatima Perez

          I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Fatima Perez.  I am the new Montessori coach for first and second grade.  l have worked as one the first and second grade teachers here, at Keiller Leadership Academy.  This year, I will be performing a special assignment that requires helping some new KLA teachers become familiar with the Montessori philosophy. I am looking forward to becoming an active participant in your child’s education. I am so excited to resume our productive collaboration.

          For my new families, here is a brief biography. I was born and raised in Marrakesh, Morocco, North Africa. I have been living in the United States since 1996.  I am a Graduate of Cadi Ayyad University of Literature and Human Sciences in Morocco. I have obtained my 6-9 Montessori credential from the Maria Montessori School for Teachers Education.  

          During the first week, our 1-2 team will get to know your children, establish classroom routines, and build a strong community of eager learners.  We will be following the Montessori philosophy, but we will also align our work with the common core state standards in order to make sure our students are college ready.
