Hi! My name is Mrs. Torres. I am happy and pleased to be at KLA. I have been part of the KLA Family for 17 years. I have a loving husband and four children. I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends. I like to play tennis, read, and relax. I love to be clean and organized. I graduated from San Diego State University, majoring in Liberal Studies and Public Administration and received a teaching credential after one year of postgraduate studies. I also received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and my Administrative Credential from Point Loma Nazarene University.

 

My heart is in helping ALL students to achieve. I selected KLA because the school creates a warm environment for its students. The academy wants students to do well; therefore, it gives students the opportunity and strategies they need to be successful. I believe in this philosophy as well. I also chose KLA because of its commitment to its students.

 

Student safety is important to me as well. I work with the School Safety Committee in organizing and planning school drills throughout the school year. Helping students feel safe at school, helps students to focus on the learning in the classroom.
